Trainee Learn to Swim Instructor

Wanganui

CONTRACT

Are you passionate about water safety and learn to swim teaching others including infants - adults at varying level. We have a large fun team, who get to work with the community every day providing high quality aquatic and recreational services to the city.
Our facilities are vibrant, action-oriented environment - a hub of activity where visitors can play, learn to swim.
About the role
The role will include the following key responsibilities:

Supporting the instruction of classes on how to swim of varying age groups and levels
Engaging with and creating a fun and supportive environment for our Learn to Swim Students
Liaising with parents of children
Learning and developing fundamental skills to be able to deliver instructed classes solo

About you

Enthusiastic, motivated and passionate about working with and helping others
Reliable and punctual
Ability to work effectively with all cultures and ages
Great work ethic and a team player
Experience working with children and/or adults in an instructing/teaching role advantageous
Must be 16 years old or up
The right to work in New Zealand
Medically fit for employment
Great communication skills
Demonstrate strong integrity and high safety awareness
AUSTswim qualification desirable

All candidates are required to complete a criminal history check, under the Vulnerable Children's Act before commencement of employment.
