ICT Officer

Ukelma EPCIM Company is an Oil and Gas (Engineering, procurement, construction, installation and maintenance Nigerian firm), We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced ICT Officer who will be responsible for maintaining the organization's information and communication technology infrastructure, systems, and services. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to support and enhance ICT operations in a dynamic work environment
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Ø ICT Infrastructure Management:
Plan, design, implement, and maintain ICT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, hardware, and software applications.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
Ø System Administration:
Administer and support IT systems and platforms, such as email servers, domain controllers, databases, and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring data security and compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Ø Technical Support and Helpdesk Services:
Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, responding to IT-related inquiries, incidents, and service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve IT issues, escalate complex problems as needed, and ensure timely resolution.
Ø ICT Project Management:
Lead or participate in ICT projects and initiatives, from requirements gathering and planning to implementation, testing, and deployment.
Coordinate project activities, track progress, manage resources, and communicate with project stakeholders to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
Ø ICT Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce ICT security measures, policies, and protocols to safeguard data, systems, and infrastructure against cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualification and Experience Requirements:
Ø ü Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
ü Minimum of 4 years of experience in ICT roles within the Oil and Gas sector in Nigeria.
ü Proficiency in ICT systems, networks, software applications, and IT infrastructure management.
ü Strong technical knowledge and skills in network administration, server management, and desktop support.
ü Excellent troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues effectively.
ü Familiarity with ICT best practices, standards, and frameworks (e.g., ITIL, ISO 27001).
ü Relevant certifications in ICT disciplines (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate - CCNA, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - MCSE) are advantageous.
Training or certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From ₦250,000.00 per month
