### Job Description: Pastry Chef at Ignition Club and Arena
**Position:** Pastry Chef
**Location:** Ignition Club and Arena, Enugu State, Nigeria
**Reports To:** Head Chef / Kitchen Manager
#### Job Summary:
The Pastry Chef at Ignition Club and Arena will create and present a variety of exquisite desserts and baked goods that enhance our culinary offerings. This role involves overseeing the pastry section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality production, and contributing to a memorable dining experience for our guests.
#### Key Responsibilities:
**Dessert Preparation:**
- Develop and execute a diverse menu of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, including cakes, cookies, tarts, and specialty items.
- Innovate new recipes and techniques to keep the dessert menu fresh and exciting.
**Quality Control:**
- Ensure all pastries and desserts meet high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
**Team Collaboration:**
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and coordination during busy events.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff in techniques, presentation, and best practices.
**Sanitation and Safety:**
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all ingredients and baked goods.
**Menu Development:**
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to design seasonal dessert menus and special offerings tailored to events.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into the dessert menu.
#### Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in pastry arts.
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry production.
#### Skills:
- Creativity and a passion for dessert creation.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation.
#### Working Conditions:
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physically demanding role that may require standing for long periods and lifting heavy items.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦60,000.00 - ₦70,000.00 per month
