Named after the iconic Pier 42 in New York, our cocktail bar is designed to blend the heritage of Amerikalinjen’s cocktail culture with an unparalleled drinks menu reflecting the modern-day explorer. Pier 42 in Manhattan was the passengers’ first encounter with New York and the new life “over there”.
With several recognition's for Best Bartenders, Best Team, and Best Cocktail Program + many more, Pier 42 is considered a leading cocktail destination in Oslo & Norway.
Amerikalinjen offers several exciting food and beverage concepts, all deeply inspired by our rich history and location. All dining establishments have a targeted focus on the local market, and we have a strategic plan to be a market leader in their respective segments.

The role
We are searching for a Bartender ready to join an exceptional team and demonstrate genuine engagement.
The role involves both operational and strategic tasks. You will have shared responsibility for the daily bar operation, including production and development of our signature cocktails program. In this position, you will create and actively participate in the development of an exceptional cocktail menu, showcasing on-brand creativity and a deep understanding of mixology trends. It is required that you develop and maintain relationships with our other outlets to ensure the availability of high-quality service and experience to our guests.
You have extensive knowledge of craft cocktails, mixology techniques, and a passion for staying current with industry trends. You see yourself as a Trailblazer, who likes to be first and innovative. You are dedicated to craft & sustainable thinking. You are an outgoing person with positive energy, as well as being structured, and enjoy maintaining good routines.

The position is 100% and based in Oslo. The position is evening based, with weekends expected. The position reports to the Bar Manager. At Amerikalinjen, we believe in hiring extremely dedicated individuals with a strong service culture.
