R&D Project Manager, Analytical Chemistry

Our Laboratory department in Kristiansand is on the lookout for a new team member to join our team as we innovate towards continuously improving existing and develop new measurement systems.
We are seeking a candidate with strong understanding of analytical chemistry, scientific communication skills and capable of systematic planning and hands-on execution on projects and method development.
The Laboratory is a culturally diverse team of highly qualified professionals that carry out innovation projects and analytical method development.

The position reports to the Department Manager in Elkem Technology lab. Location is Kristiansand, Norway.

Most important areas of responsibility:
- Method development and QA of advanced and new chemical techniques
- Lead and manage R&D projects related to processes, products, and measurements
- Contribute to Operational Excellence within Elkem’s divisions and plants
- Stay up to date on analytical techniques and new possibilities with measurement technologies
- Ph D or Master’s degree in relevant areas, preferably within analytical chemistry
- Competence within Statistics, TOS and/or Quality Assurance
- Preferably experience from project management
- Preferably industrial experience
- Good communication skills in Norwegian and English are a must
