HRSG - Innovative Business Solutions is hiring a Vice President/Credit Risk Review for one of it’s leading financial institution client based in Karachi, Pakistan.
Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant (Associate/ Fellow member) or ; Masters of Business Administration For exceptional candidates, bachelor’s degree in business administration (accounting or finance) can be considered.
Technical Competencies:
Excellent credit assessment and analytical skills and understanding of credit products, proficient in Computer skills/Power Point presentations and knowledge of industry best practices.
Behavioral Competencies:Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and detail oriented. Fully capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Experience: Minimum 12 years in Credit Risk Management, primarily covering corporate portfolio, with preferably 3 years in the Credit Risk Review function.
Experience of Corporate/Commercial relationship management will be an advantage.
Job Responsibilities:-
Adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of Bank’s Credit Risk Management processes.
-Credit proposals with respect to quality and adequacy of borrowers’ character, management, track record, industry fundamentals and financial analysis (historical & projections where required) and repayment capacity.
-Credit facilities have been properly structured. There is no violation of internal policies and regulatory requirements.
-Quality of credit portfolio & recommend improvements in related processes, where needed.
-The macroeconomic and industry situation and outlook, that can potentially impact the Bank’s credit portfolio.
-The accuracy of risk ratings and adequacy / timelines of the bank’s problem recognition process (classification & watch listing) on the basis of criteria laid out in the Bank’s credit policy.
-Finalize the audit reports and audit ratings within defined timelines.Check compliance with various risk limits, risk tolerance levels, risk acceptance criteria (RACs), risk appetite statements, asset underwriting strategy and other operational risk guidelines and models.
Participate in special audits as & when requested by the regulator, BOD, &/or senior management.
-To devise action plan and follow up to compliance of the same within the defined target date with respect to resolution of the weaknesses identified by Regulator, external auditors and quality assurance assessments.
-Liaise with risk, compliance, & associated control functions of the Bank where needed to assess the emerging risks impacting the Bank’s control environment along with the mitigation strategy.
-Periodic travel to the countries of the branches/subsidiaries being reviewed.
-Attain ‘general conformance’ rating in Credit Risk Review function.
