DevOps Engineer (Linux & Apache Web Server Specialist ) || Remote ( Lahore)

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for PHP/Laravel applications, ensuring smooth integration and deployment processes.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (primarily Cent OS, Ubuntu, or similar distributions) for high availability and scalability.
- Manage and optimize Apache Web Servers, including configuring virtual hosts, SSL certificates, and security settings.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Circle CI, or similar for automated deployment and testing.
- Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other teams to ensure smooth and efficient development and production workflows.
- Troubleshoot server and application issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Monitor system performance and respond to issues with proactive solutions using tools like Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Secure the Linux environment through firewalls, access controls, and regular patching to ensure system integrity.
- Implement and maintain version control systems (e.g., Git) and manage branching strategies for efficient development.
- Optimize load balancing, web traffic, and database performance for high-traffic web applications.
- Continuously improve system efficiency by optimizing server configurations and deployment processes.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in Dev Ops, PHP/Laravel, and AWS ecosystems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Linux system administration.
- In-depth knowledge of Apache Web Server management and optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including automation and deployment strategies.
- Strong understanding of Dev Ops principles and tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or similar.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing) and web traffic optimization.
