Job Summary:
The Export Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all export-related activities, ensuring the smooth transportation of goods across international borders. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of international trade regulations, logistics, and customer service. The Export Manager will work closely with sales, logistics, and compliance teams to optimize export processes, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery to meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Export Operations:
Coordinate and manage all export activities, including shipment schedules, product compliance, documentation, and customs clearance processes.
Documentation Management:
Oversee the preparation and accuracy of required export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and export licenses.
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure all export transactions comply with international trade laws, export regulations, and industry standards. Stay updated on changes in global trade policies and adjust processes as needed.
Logistics Coordination:
Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, and shipping partners to negotiate competitive rates and maintain optimal shipping timelines. Handle route planning, delivery schedules, and cost-effective solutions.
Risk Management:
Assess risks associated with shipping routes, compliance with trade sanctions, and the financial stability of trade partners. Proactively manage any arising issues.
Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for export customers, handling inquiries, order tracking, and issue resolution to ensure customer satisfaction.
Financial Management:
Monitor and control export costs, including shipping, tariffs, and import duties, to achieve budget objectives. Prepare and analyze cost reports and make recommendations for improvement.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor export team members, providing guidance, training, and support as needed to maintain high performance and engagement levels.
Market Research:
Stay informed of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging trade opportunities to identify and recommend potential export markets and expansion strategies.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in export management, logistics, or international trade.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of export regulations, international trade laws, and customs procedures.
Proficiency in export management software and systems.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
