Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Field Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering field data on various crops, writing detailed reports, interacting with farmers, and providing expert advisory services. This role requires a strong understanding of agricultural practices and the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with farmers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Data Collection:
- Gather and record data on crop conditions, growth stages, pest infestations, and soil health.
- Use appropriate tools and methodologies for accurate data collection.
- Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing field observations and findings.
- Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Farmer Interaction:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local farmers.
- Conduct field visits and meetings to understand their needs and challenges.
- Advisory Services:
- Provide expert advice on best agricultural practices, including crop management, pest control, and soil nutrition.
- Assist farmers in implementing new techniques and technologies to enhance productivity.
- Education and Training:
- Organize and conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions for farmers.
- Develop educational materials and resources to support farmer learning.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams to align field activities with company goals.
- Provide feedback and insights to support product development and improvement.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all field activities comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on the latest agricultural regulations and guidelines.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field.
- A Master's degree will be considered an asset.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in agricultural fieldwork or a similar role.
- Proven experience in data collection and analysis.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of local agricultural practices and crop management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in report writing and presenting data findings.
- Ability to use agricultural tools and data collection equipment effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data analysis software.
- Language:
- Fluency in English and Urdu is required.
- Knowledge of regional dialects is a plus.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within assigned regions.
- Ability to work independently and in diverse environments.
