Nursing Technician - Department of Community Health Centre (Family Medicine)

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

perform risk assessment and deliver planned care to all assigned patients with minimum supervision
assist in procedures such as insertion of Central Venous Catheter (CVC), A/Line, chest drain, wound and stoma management according to hospital guidelines
provide basic hygiene care and monitor hemodynamics including invasive (CVC and arterial line) monitoring
manage all assigned patients including ventilated patients
monitor I/V fluids and fluid management
ensure timely documentation as per defined protocols and standards.

Requirements

You should have:

an Intermediate in any discipline along with Matric in Science (Pre-Medical) background
preferbaly at least one year of related experience in a reputable health care organization and Diploma in Critical Care Technician or Nursing Technician with the reputable hospital (Preferred)
completed Nursing Technician training course at AKUH or any other reputable institution
certification in Basic Life Support and Intravenous Cannulation
good communication skills and ability to handle work pressure
willingness to work in shift duties.
