Job Purpose
The Close & Control Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing the operation of one or more processes within C&C. Ensuring all tasks are completed timely and accurately in a strong control environment. The role helps to deliver the Finance vision of a “world class finance function recognized by industry, the profession and our people” which underpins the GSK vision.
Strong expertise with accounting principles to ensure correct application to financial statements. The role also needs to be able to accurately implement controls & compliance for audit and work closely with other finance and business stakeholders including internal and external auditors.

Education, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business, Finance) OR part qualified CA / ACCA / CMA
  
• Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in a Finance role with a focus on any one or more fixed assets and master data management.
  
• Proficiency in SAP, Concur
  
• Proficient within Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  
• Experience working for pharma/biotech company preferred
  

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible in area of master data management activities related but not limited to:
  
• Cost / profit center creation / maintenance;
  
• WBS creation and / maintenance;
  
• Fixed assets creation / maintenance;
  
• Daily FX rates update in SAP;
  
• General ledger creation / extension / block / unblock;
  
• Bank key creation / changes for T&E payments;
  
• Monthly opening and closure of modules / GLs;
  
• Extraction of WBS and cost center listings; and
  
• Performance of monthly controls as per ICFW; and
  
• Any other tasks assigned by LT.
  
• Resolves MDM issues promptly and escalates unresolved matters as needed.
  
• Daily tracking and allocation of volumes for the respective process for timely completion in adherence of Service Level Agreement.
  
• Provide process updates, attend dashboards calls and respond to critical issues.
  
• Training other team members regarding the daily tasks whenever necessary and requested by the manager and update the working procedures (SOPs) periodically.
