Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Server Repairing Technician to manage the maintenance, repair, and optimization of server hardware. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of server components, troubleshooting techniques, and be capable of working on a wide range of server models. You will also play a key role in ensuring minimal downtime and optimal server performance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Server Maintenance & Repair:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues in various server models, including but not limited to Dell, HP, IBM, and other high-end server systems.
• Repair and replace faulty components such as CPUs, memory, motherboards, power supplies, and RAID controllers.
• System Troubleshooting:
• Identify and resolve issues related to server hardware and connectivity.
• Perform comprehensive diagnostics to pinpoint hardware and software conflicts.
• Installation & Configuration:
• Install, configure, and upgrade server hardware to meet the organization’s requirements.
• Set up RAID arrays and manage firmware updates as needed.
• Performance Optimization:
• Monitor server performance and ensure optimal operation by identifying bottlenecks or potential risks.
• Implement preventive measures to avoid future hardware malfunctions.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, installations, and system configurations.
• Prepare reports on hardware status, issues encountered, and actions taken.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing server hardware, including CPUs, RAM, RAID controllers, and network interfaces.
• Familiarity with server configurations, including virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and server management software.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and system administration.
• Problem-Solving Skills:
• Ability to quickly diagnose complex server issues and provide effective solutions.
• Skilled in troubleshooting both hardware and software conflicts.
• Experience with Server Brands:
• Hands-on experience with servers from major manufacturers such as Dell, HP, IBM, and others.
• Ability to work with older models as well as the latest server technologies.
• Communication & Teamwork:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with IT teams and vendors.
• Ability to document repairs and updates thoroughly for future reference.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in server repair and maintenance.
• Certifications such as Comp TIA Server+, Dell Certified Systems Expert, or HP Accredited Platform Specialist are a plus.
• Strong understanding of RAID configurations, server virtualization, and data center operations.
