Job Description:
Phoenix Labor Group is actively seeking proficient Outside Machinists & Electricians to join our workforce along the Gulf Coast. The role involves setting up and operating variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. The work primarily takes place in shipyard settings, and relevant experience in such environments is essential.
Prospective will be invited to schedule proficiency, drug screening tests, and background (If applicable).
Responsibilities:

• Interpret technical drawings and instructions for machining tasks.
• Set up and operate machine tools to shape parts to precise requirements.
• Measure and examine completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and other team members to achieve optimal production outcomes.
• Demonstrate keen attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced job environment.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience, particularly in a shipyard or similar industrial setting.
• Skilled in operating a wide range of machine tools.
• Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving within a machining context.
• Strong verbal communication and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Must be a Resident or Citizen of the US in to apply
