Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a grocery store or fast food environment and possess strong cash handling skills. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will be key to driving sales and enhancing the shopping experience.
Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in choosing what to eat.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for cash handling transactions.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer and perform end-of-day reconciliation.
• Provide product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Supervise junior staff members, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Assist in stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining store cleanliness. Be willing to cross train and help the kitchen with appetizers.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• The ability to have a sense of humor for both coworkers and customers.
• Previous experience in a grocery store, retail, or fast food environment preferred.
• Strong cash handling skills with experience using POS systems.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• A proactive attitude towards selling products and promoting store initiatives.
