Assistant Accounting Manager

Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements alongside accounting staff (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) in accordance with PAS.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement financial reporting policies and procedures.
- Maintain and manage general ledger for day-to-day operations.
- Tax Compliance:
- Advise on tax implications of business transactions and ensure compliance with Philippine tax laws.
- Prepare and file corporate and individual income tax returns, VAT returns, and other tax-related documents.
- Coordinate with tax authorities and auditors to address tax queries and assessments.
- Prepare and manage year-end tax schedules.
- Accounting Systems:
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and software.
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals.
- Recruit, train, and develop accounting staff.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
- Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare financial forecasts and budgets.
- Provide financial advice to management for strategic decision-making.
- Audit Management
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA Preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards (PAS) and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP Business One, Quick Books).
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Highly organized and good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
