Responsibilities

• As Java Developer you will be developing and testing functionalities to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet client and project requirements;
• You will be supporting the Technical Leader and Senior Engineer in managing sprints, backlogs, and documentation, contributing to the smooth execution of Agile processes;
• You will be writing technical documentation for development tasks assigned to you, ensuring clear and comprehensive records for future reference;
• You will be maintaining quality standards by designing and writing test cases for automated testing, ensuring functionality and reliability of the software;
• You will be participating in code review sessions, learning best practices and improving your skills under the guidance of Senior Developers and the Technical Leader;
• You will be optimizing performance by leveraging caching, CDN integration, and applying best practices in database management and code optimization;
• You will be balancing technical writing and development tasks, with approximately 20% dedicated to documentation and 80% focused on coding and development.

Requirement

• 3+ years of experience as a Java Developer, showcasing a strong foundation in backend development and problem-solving;
• Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
• Experience with HCL Commerce, demonstrating your expertise in working with enterprise e Commerce platforms;
• Experience implementing international e Commerce sites, providing solutions that cater to global customer bases;
• Experience with SOAP and Spring Web services, ensuring effective communication between distributed systems and services;
• Experience with Active MQ, enabling efficient message brokering and integration between application components;
• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes, showcasing your ability to manage containerized applications and deployments;
• Experience developing within a modern CD/CI pipeline, utilizing Agile tools and methodologies to streamline code integration and delivery processes;
• Proficiency with relational databases, enabling effective data modeling and management;
• Experience with automated testing tools, such as Cucumber, ensuring high-quality code and reliable test coverage;
• Experience in e Commerce web service development to support the Headless Front-End paradigm, ensuring seamless integration with modern frontend technologies.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the HCL Catalog data model, providing a deeper understanding of e Commerce platform functionality;
• Experience with e Commerce enterprise platforms, enhancing your ability to work on large-scale, complex projects;
• Knowledge of Algolia Search and Merchandising tools, enabling you to enhance search capabilities and product presentation in e Commerce platforms.
