Cost Accountant, PH

We are looking for an analytical and certified public accountant to join our team. This role encompasses various critical tasks, including Product Costing, Production and Operations Cost oversight, Gross Margin Analysis, Variance Analysis, Standard cost roll-up, and updates. The right person for us will manage Accounting and Finance functions within the business unit.
This exciting opportunity is 100% office-based at our Biñan City in Laguna, Philippines office.
What you will do:
Accounting

• Spearhead Import and Export processing to meet business unit objectives and customer requirements, including affiliates
• Gross Margin/Profit Analysis
• Optimize product costing, generate reports and suggest effective cost control measures to cost centers
• Provide effective financial and business unit analysis to support decision-making within the business unit
• Support the Controller in the preparation of the annual business plan at business unit level

Supply Chain

• Conduct regular material price reviews from 3rd party sources and affiliates, ensuring optimal cost management
• Liaise with various teams to achieve on-time delivery targets, driving process enhancements for business profitability
• Quarterly freight costs and billing review tasks
• Identify ways to enhance customer service

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy incl being a Certified Public Accountant
• Solid experience as Cost Accountant or Finance Analyst for Plant Controlling preferably in a multinational set-up
• Knowledge of Finance functions, Supply Chain functions and Production/Operations processes
• A passion for details and the ability to explain these to non-financial colleagues
• Advanced background in Accounting computer systems
