Responsibilities:
- The Credit Verifier conducts file matching of auto loan applications through external Credit Bureau and AMLA criteria.
- Responsible also in gathering client background information and conducting third party verification through phone (landline and mobile) in accordance with established policies and within the required turnaround time.
- Performs negative file matching and positive data matching with external credit bureaus:
a. BAP – Credit Bureau (NFIS checking)
b. CIBI KYC / My Score / Negative Record
c. Determine if borrower is not listed in Watchlist (AMLA, SEC, Fraud, Fraud list of company, OFAC, UN, EU)
d. Other checking PEP, DOSRI, RPT
- Gathers data information through phone checking:
A. Individual account
a. Confirms the loan application with the client.
b. Validates data given by the client in the loan application form:
b.01. Personal data such as spelling of names of applicant, spouse or co-maker, birthday, birthplace, etc.
b.02. Residence address details
b.03. Employment details
b.04. Business details (if engaged in business)
b.05. Bank reference details
b.06. Credit reference details (if disclosed with existing loan/s with other banks and/or financial institutions)
- Corporate account
a. Confirms the loan application with the client or assigned point person in-charge.
b. Validates information based on the submitted application form.
b.01. Company and business details
b.02. Name and address of officers, stockholders and beneficial owners
b.03. Bank reference details
b.04. Credit reference details (if disclosed with existing loan/s with other banks and/or financial institutions)
- Conducts third party verification of the following:
a. Residence checking
b. Employment checking
c. Business checking (includes application of Corporate account)
d. Bank Checking
e. Credit Checking
f. Trade Checking (if with business)
- Endorses application for field investigation.
- Identify borrower classification and due diligence.
- Ensures that all information gathered is accurate and complete before endorsing the account to Credit Officer for evaluation.
- Prepares reports as requested by the superiors.
- Performs other job-related functions that may be assigned by the superior from time to time.
- Participates in Kaizen related activities.
- Attends seminars and training program related to the job.
- Working alongside the Credit Officer.
Requirements:
- Holds a degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, Business Management, or any related course.
- Have knowledge & experience with the Accounting Standards, Budgeting, and Loan & Financial Reporting.
- Must have an experience working as Credit & Collection in the Banking Industry
- Possess good written and oral English communication skills.
- Proficient in using MS Office applications, especially Excel.
