Duties & Responsibilities:
The Crewing Superintendent is responsible to the Fleet Management Team for shipboard crew requirement and for the safe and economical training of the crew. He will coordinate with the Ship superintendent, Port Captain and Quality/Safety Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Crewing Superintendent is responsible to the Fleet Management Team for shipboard crew requirement and for the safe and economical training of the crew. He will coordinate with the Ship superintendent, Port Captain and Quality/Safety Manager.
Crewing Management
Oversees and adheres the framework for managing the crew effectively to ensure safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure that all matters relating to the employment and welfare of the ship’s personnel are in accordance with the national requirements and Safety Management System guidelines.
- Provides adequate and suitable training and familiarization in the SMS for all personnel onboard the ship and ensures that ships are manned in accordance with the STCW requirements.
- Evaluates all aspects of officers / crew promotion and disciplinary procedural matters applicable to seagoing personnel.
- Ensure all the assessment and performance of the ship’s Master, Officers and crew are accurately and timely tracked
- Ensure that seafarer’s personal documents, medical and certificates complied with the national requirements. Maintains and arranges the 201 file /record of all the crew. In-charge of issuing / approving embarkation / appointment to all qualified personnel.
- Review / investigate ship reports on Officers and crew injuries, illness and other related claim incidents.
- In-charge of Situation H in the Emergency Response Team
- Maintain the records of Company Code of Conduct, MEMO and Government Memorandum Circular for STCW.
- Performing other duties, which may be assigned by the superiors.
- Management of the long-term crewing strategy and crew rotation matrix
- Supervises member of the crewing department and their performance evaluation
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Operations Management and related fields.
- Five years in a managerial role within a crewing department
- Knowledgeable of vessel management, HR and the Maritime industry as a whole to successfully work in Crew Management at a senior level.
- Efficient motivator and coach, able to encourage any trainees and effectively manage all crew.
- You must be able to communicate competently, understanding the needs of others and answering and queries efficiently.
- You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and any other software relevant to Crew Management.
- Accepts correction and constructive criticism.
- With high levels of honesty, integrity and reliability.
- Can easily adapt into a fast-paced working environment
