We have a great opportunity for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our Building Services group and as part of a workshare team.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our Building Services group and as part of a workshare team.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Apply technical engineering techniques and methods using international design standards such as AU/NZ, UK, US, UAE Fire Protection Design
- Codes in support not only to Australia project but also to Philippines, Middle East, and international projects within GHD
- Ensuring the implementation and maintenance of effective fire protection measures in compliance with appropriate regulations and standards, this involves conducting fire risk assessments, designing fire protection systems, and collaborating within GHD team to enhance fire safety in buildings and facilities
- Conduct detailed fire risk assessments for various types of buildings, infrastructure, and industrial facilities. Analyze data to identify and prioritize fire hazards
- Design fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and suppression systems, considering the unique aspects of environmental and regulatory conditions
- Present engineering solutions for discussion during concept and schematic design stages, and prepare concept and scheme design reports
- Prepare detailed engineering solutions requiring a degree of technical design utilising knowledge of relevant design principles
- Prepare design drawings mark ups, calculations, material quantity take off, reports, technical specifications, and other design related documents relevant to the design task
- Identify risks and potential deviations to the project’s scope of work and estimate the fees to carry the additional work identified
- Conduct internal reviews and quality checks of engineering drawings and design calculations to ensure compliance with the project’s requirements
- Participate in tender and contract administration
- Render construction support where required
- Licensed Registered Mechanical Engineer
- 10 to 15 years relevant post-graduate experience
- Proficient in the application of international design standards such as Australian/NZ, USA, UK, and UAE
- Proficient in the following fire protection engineering design fundamentals: fire protection system including FDAS.
- Experience and working knowledge in Fire protection Hydraulic software such as Elite Fire, or FHC Canute
- High level of Auto CAD and Revit MEP knowledge including experience in BIM 360
Candidates must be a Filipino citizen or have the right to work in the Philippines.
