JOB DESCRIPTION

• As a Freight Operations Coordinator, your primary role involves overseeing and optimizing the logistical aspects of our freight operations. Your responsibilities will encompass the efficient coordination of cargo movement, monitoring shipping schedules, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods to their destinations. You will also play a critical role in managing inventory, tracking shipments, and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise during the transportation process.
• This position requires a full-time commitment and on-site work at our Navotas office, operating on a Monday to Saturday schedule. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, collaborating closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our freight services. Open and transparent communication will be key, and you will report directly to the Operations Manager, keeping them informed of all logistical matters.

JOB QUALIFICATION

• Holder of any four (4) year college degree, but preferably related to transportation and logistics
• With at least (2) years of experience in freight and logistics planning, coordination, and monitoring, particularly with domestic or local movement of cargo within the Philippine Archipelago (e.g. Luz-Vis and Min, vice-versa).
• Willing to work with long working hours including interchanging day and night shifts.
• With good moral character and no derogatory records
• Competent in decision-modeling, team orientation, strong work ethics, customer centricity, innovativeness, professional communication
• Competent in cargo handling, materials management, operational risk avoidance, and transport operations acumen.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews booking information
• Prepares freight plans
• Books with vendors such as shipping companies, trucking companies and/or coordinates the freight plan with other stakeholders such as agent or branches in origin and/or destination
• Monitors and tracks the shipments, and reports its status to customer service
• Prepares documents that are coupled with shipments
• Collects documents and submits these to finance department for billing purposes
• Other duties that may be assigned from time-to-time.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS, AND PERQUISITES::

• Starts at Php20,056.28 per month
• Sick/Medical Leave, Vacation Leave, Emergency Leaves, Birthday Leaves, Bereavement Leaves are offered upon regularization
• Other Government benefits as required by Law
