Job Summary:
The HR Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department in executing day-to-day HR operations, ensuring that company policies and procedures are followed, and contributing to the overall strategy for employee engagement and satisfaction. The role includes overseeing recruitment, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, training, and compliance with labor laws. The HR Assistant Manager collaborates closely with senior HR staff and other department heads to ensure that HR programs align with the company’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
  • Assist in managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Develop strategies for attracting and retaining top talent.
  • Ensure that staffing levels align with the company's goals and budget.
Employee Relations:
  • Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances, providing timely resolution.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend actions regarding workplace issues and complaints.
  • Maintain a positive and productive working environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Assist in managing the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of salaries and benefits.
  • Oversee the administration of benefits such as health insurance, leave policies, and retirement plans.
  • Ensure that compensation packages are competitive within the industry.
Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs and help in the development of training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
  • Organize leadership and management development initiatives for staff growth.
HR Policies and Compliance:
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, including the Philippine Labor Code.
  • Manage employee records and maintain confidentiality in line with data privacy regulations.
Performance Management:
  • Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems and provide support during the review process.
  • Work with department heads to ensure fair and transparent employee evaluations.
  • Facilitate coaching and feedback sessions for performance improvement.
HR Reporting and Analytics:
  • Provide regular HR reports and metrics to senior management.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and suggest improvements in HR operations.
Other Duties:
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities, such as team-building events and wellness programs.
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Perform other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in HR-related courses or training.
  • Experience in employee engagement and retention programs.
  • Experience in HRIS systems.
