Internal Audit Officer

About the role
This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and the integrity of our financial reporting.
What you'll be doing

Conduct regular audits of the company's financial and operational processes to identify potential risks and improvements
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and make recommendations for enhancement
Assist in the development and implementation of audit plans, policies, and procedures
Liaise with various departments to gather information, document findings, and present recommendations
Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management
Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and follow up on audit recommendations
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices

What we're looking for

Relevant bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in internal audit or a similar role within the accounting/finance industry
Proficient knowledge of audit principles, procedures, and techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address financial and operational risks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing financial reporting and internal controls
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification would be an advantage
