Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines. Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Oils and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. Maintenance mechanics split their time between repair, maintenance, and the installation of system components and office hours.
a. Education
· Associate degree in mechanical engineering or similar field or related certifications
· A certificate from a vocational school in industrial maintenance technology is an advantage.
· Technical training in project management and development and other technical courses (Welding, pumps and motors, compressed air, wastewater treatment) related to the performance of the functions.
b. Work Experience
· 1 year experience working as a maintenance technician.
· Must be working with the same functions and capacities.
· Experienced in equipment sizing (compressors, all kinds of pumps, motors, blowers, boilers, and heat exchangers) design, evaluation, and improvement of mechanical systems and facilities.
c. Special Qualities/Skills Required
· Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment.
· In-depth knowledge of system maintenance.
· diagnosing and repairing minor and major issues.
· A keen attention to detail and the ability to solve mechanical problems.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to act competently in emergencies.
