Quality/Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that materials and products meet the standards set by the company and the regulatory authorities prior to usage and release.
a. Education
· Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. A license in Chemistry degree is required.
b. Work Experience
· At least 3 years of working experience under quality control/assurance in a food manufacturing industry. Supervisory experience is an advantage but not required.
· Experience in food powder ingredient industry is an advantage.
· With an extensive background in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ISO 17025, Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) and Quality Management System (QMS).
· Statistical process control experience.
· Experience with SAP is an advantage.
· Lean manufacturing understanding.
c. Special Qualities/Skills Required
· Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications.
· Proficient in written and oral communication.
· Knowledge of laboratory scaling.
· Auditing skills.
· Familiarity with laboratory equipment validation, verification and calibration.
· Well-informed on Analytical Quality Control (AQC) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) principles and test technology.
· Understanding on the rejection of nonconforming raw materials.
· Safety Data Sheet and Product Data Sheet contents knowledge and understanding.
· Basic regulatory background particularly Global Standard for Food Additives.
