Job Overview
The School Nurse is responsible for providing healthcare services to both students and employees, ensuring the overall health and well-being of the school community. This role involves promoting disease prevention, managing health records, responding to medical emergencies, and fostering awareness of mental health and wellness. The School Nurse will work closely with external medical facilities and internal stakeholders to maintain a safe and healthy environment, addressing both minor ailments and major health concerns.
Your Responsibilities:
Healthcare Services:

• Provide first aid and healthcare support to students and employees for minor injuries and illnesses.

Health Promotion:

• Educate and raise awareness on disease prevention, mental health, and overall well-being through workshops and informational campaigns.

Disease Prevention:

• Implement protocols to prevent the spread of communicable diseases within the school community.

Emergency Referrals:

• Refer students and employees to medical facilities for emergencies or severe conditions that require immediate attention.

Health Monitoring:

• Regularly monitor the health and well-being of students and employees, conducting health screenings and wellness checks as needed.

Health Records Management:

• Maintain and safeguard accurate health records for all students and employees.

Partnership Management:

• Collaborate with hospitals and clinics for medical support and emergencies, and ensure compliance with CHED (Commission on Higher Education) health requirements.

Safety Protocols:

• Identify health hazards and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe school environment.

Wellness Initiatives:

• Lead and manage health and wellness activities for employees, such as fitness programs and wellness seminars.

Well-being Focus:

• Participate in and support initiatives that enhance both student and employee mental and physical health.

Reporting:

• Prepare and submit regular health reports to school administrators, parents, and other relevant stakeholders.

What our Client is Looking For:
Education:

• Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BOSH Certificate is preferred, but not required

Experience:

• 2-5 years of nursing experience in a school, organizational, or hospital/clinical setting.
• Proven experience in implementing programs related to disease prevention and health promotion.
• Experience in policy creation, design, and implementation is an advantage.
• Prior experience in performing administrative and clerical tasks is required.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to learn and utilize cloud-based software for health record management and reporting.
• Familiarity with new tools and processes is an advantage.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Strong networking, people management, and interpersonal skills.
• Pleasant personality with a customer-service-oriented mindset.
