Senior Digital Performance Manager

The Client
A multi-awarded Australian marketing agency delivering work across SEM, paid social, display, programmatic, radio, audio, out of home, e Commerce, and more.
Base of Operation
1. Offices in Makati, BGC, and Pasig.
2. Hybrid work arrangement - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday onsite.
  • Your ‘WFH (Working From Home)’ environment may be supported with an LCD monitor, wireless keyboards and mice, plus headset, if you need these items.
The Role
You will report to the Head of Media in Sydney, Australia, and work across all departments.
You initially will have one (1) Digital Marketing Executive reporting to you, as well as working closely with specialist strategy teams that will be deployed on your campaigns.
You will be the main contact to plan set up, execute and manage all media campaigns across digital channels including but not limited to SEM, Paid Social, Display, Shopping, & 3rd parties (Programmatic media outlets similar to Google DV360) with the support of media partners and your team.
Scope of Role
Our Senior Digital Performance Manager is building a team of specialist marketers across performance media platforms in order to deliver effective marketing campaigns and services to our clients.
This means we need a capable, knowledgeable, Senior Digital Performance Manager to run / develop / build out our performance media campaigns.
This is an opportunity for a passionate and motivated digital marketer to work with exciting clients to deliver digital marketing campaigns across Digital SEM, PPC, and Paid Social channels.
Key Deliverables
For you to be successful as a media professional, you will be required to focus on 5 key areas of competency:
Performance Media & Campaign Planning
Own the planning and strategy of campaigns
  • Lead the Performance Media campaigns to create the campaign strategy, structures, plan, and implementation.
  • Ensure in-depth and knowledgeable assessment of all performance marketing options, using media research tools to deliver innovative insights
  • Lead our clients online presence across Paid Social, SEM, Shopping, Display and Programmatic channels (Please note: Programmatic is a term used for ‘3rd Parties’ - 3rd Parties allow you to place ads on properties that Google does not reach, example: a Privately owned News Website)
  • Understand the setup, tracking and tagging of campaign activity, and be able to implement conversion tracking across client Tag Manager or other platform accounts.
Manage campaign build & platform delivery
  • Deliver rich data-driven insights to improve campaign performance.
  • You will have a deep knowledge and ability to plan, build and deliver digital advertising campaigns for our clients on Google Ads, and Facebook Paid Social Advertising.
  • Ensure reporting contains platform, consumer and market data to deliver innovative insights and recommendations.
Measurements
  • Positive feedback from client, team and manager.
  • Attend strategy / innovation training courses to improve self-development.
  • Evidence of integration with other teams, units, agencies and/or 3rd parties.
Performance Media Execution
Deliver best in class performance marketing and delivery of campaigns
  • Using our proven methodologies, 3rd party reporting tools, and marketing automation platforms, you will ensure those strategies come to life and grow the client’s business through digital channels.
  • You will demonstrate and be able to effectively use data and analytics to understand performance and continually optimise campaigns, & channels with a focus on ROI.
  • You will deliver insights for improvements to client website and landing pages, creative, key channels and marketing
Measurements
  • Client Campaign budget pacing is consistently met, without over or under spending of campaign activity.
  • Recommendations & Insights are practical, useful, and valuable to the client
  • Delivers best in class reporting including performance review, data analysis, key questions answered, and future recommendations
  • All work is of a high standard and delivers to brief on time.
  • Enter campaigns into Media Awards, and be short-listed for at least one.
  • Positive ad hoc feedback from clients and client service team on campaign performance.

Own, prioritise & manage your time and tasks
  • Manage your personal task list and proactively bring current and future task list to WIPs
  • Complete set tasks and projects by due dates alongside a self managed workload
  • Understands strengths and weaknesses (i.e. being self aware)
  • Seeks out additional training and support when required (is self aware)
  • You will be able to identify areas for training and undertake training to apply in your role on a regular basis
Measures
  • You will demonstrate the ability to organise tasks and prioritise work according to capacity and timelines
  • You can demonstrate the ability to communicate , delegate, and see to completion, tasks to internal team and agency partners
  • Allocated hours for client campaigns & Murmur activities coming in under allocated budgets / hours.
  • Clear & concise weekly, monthly & quarterly tasks for clients, and projects.
People Leadership / Management
Effective management & leadership of any direct reports
  • Ensure all direct reports have a Personal Development Plan.
  • Conduct bi-annual performance reviews, and frequent development discussions using a coaching approach and methodology.
  • Be responsible for assessing the training needs of your direct reports and ensure attendance at all relevant training sessions.
  • Maximise team productivity by clear delegation to direct report of all tasks
Measures
  • Completion of Personal Development plans of all direct reports.
  • Conduct daily ‘on the job’ coaching and upskilling of direct reports.
  • Develop direct reports to a level to be promoted.
  • Provide 360 feedback to help and aid in development and performance.
  • Ensure work load is managed effectively to client deliverables are on time
Personal Growth

Qualifications

What We Need From You
  • Excellent at SEM Marketing (10/10)
  • Excellent at Paid Social Media marketing (Facebook ads at minimum) (10/10)
  • Excellent client reporting that goes beyond basic metrics (10/10)
  • Excellent GA4 and latest versions of supplier tools (9/10)
  • Competent with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (8/10)
  • Above average ability to explain marketing decisions to our internal account teams (8/10)
  • Above average knowledge of Tag Implementation & tracking (7/10)
  • Ability to use & Understand Programmatic Advertising (3rd parties such as Media outlets, DV360 etc to place ads for our agency) (6/10)
  • Familiar with the principles of other channels (eg. email and SEO) and how they can affect SEM, Social etc (6/10)
  • Familiar with media buying (radio, out of home, digital, etc.) and the capability to be upskilled by your manager (5/10)
Skills & Expertise
  • 3 or more years of similar experience in Media Agency
  • Strong communications skills and previous experience managing client campaigns is required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be able to juggle multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to compile and analyse performance data and metrics for best decision-making
  • Be familiar with current and emerging digital & social media platforms & their technologies
  • High level of computer literacy and motivation to create business marketing solutions with your technical know-how
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 4 years proven experience &/or certification with the following:
Google Ad Words/Google Ads
Google Analytics
Facebook Business Manager
Google Display Network or Programmatic Display
Google Shopping
Google Tag Manager
  • Ideally experienced with:
Linked In Campaign Manager
CRM Platforms
Content Management System
Soft Skills
  • Genuine passions or interest in marketing (what do you hate/love)
  • Ability to quick learn a platform never used if a client requires it (such as Snapchat, Twitter etc)
  • Ability to time and task manage both yourself and a team

  • Strong communication skills (Think internal strategic client meetings)
