Senior Tax Compliance (AU)

Job Title: Senior Tax Compliance (AU)
Work Setup & Schedule:

Hybrid (Mon-Fri, 7:00AM to 4:00PM)

What you’ll be doing:

Prepare financial statements, and tax returns (corporate and individual)
Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) and client payroll tax reports.
Organize and update financial records as needed (digital) for tax purposes
Consider and implement taxation planning for tax minimization
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare management accounts
Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations
Work with a team of accountants and manage workflow, timeliness, and accuracy
Assume responsibility of accounting procedures and administrative functions and reports
Proactive communication with clients on paperwork follow ups
Deliver operating efficiencies through accounting and business systems
General bookkeeping & Accounting procedures and other ad hoc tasks as required

What will make you a great fit:

Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant is preferred.
At least 5+ years of experience as Tax Accountant or similar role in Australian accounting industry.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or any relevant field
Great knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
Working knowledge on GST, BAS, and IAS demonstrated experience preparing financial accounts, tax returns and activity statements.
Demonstrated ability to develop and retain effective client relationships.
Proficiency in using Xero, and Xero Tax
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and prioritize.
Very keen attention to detail and high levels of initiative
Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills
