TAX OFFICER
Responsibilities:
1.Responsible in ensuring accurate and timely compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
  • Ensures accurate and timely filing of monthly/annual tax returns, real property tax
  • Ensures accurate and timely reporting to BIR, PEZA, BOI
  • Monitor all business permits renewal from Local Governments
2.Provides guidance to Finance, Accounting and other departments on tax compliance requirements and risks
  • Recommends and draft policies and procedures of the company to ensure compliance with Philippine tax laws, rules and regulations.
  • Identify areas of tax risks/exposures as well as areas for tax savings and efficiencies
  • Performs tax compliance audits to identify potential tax exposures and recommends measures to address them
  • Perform research, analysis and interpretation of current tax laws
3.Lead the coordination with and provide the requirements of Tax auditors and/or tax consultants for ongoing tax audit or other tax related work
  • Assist with tax compliance deadlines, extensions and audits
  • Responsible in ensuring that the received BIR notices and correspondence is properly responded in coordination with Finance team of malls
4.Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of BS Accountancy preferably a Certified Public Accountant
  • With at least 3 years solid tax experience preferably in retail and property management industries
  • Advanced knowledge of tax and accounting regulations and standards
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications specifically MS Word, Powerpoint, MS Excel and MS Visio as well as other specialized software like SAP or Oracle
  • Above Average proficiency level in oral and written communication skills including negotiation, presentation, facilitation and training all levels of the organization
  • Deals with complex problems and tasks wherein decisions or tasks are planned, delegated, coordinated or implemented or any combination of these.
  • With strategic, result/data driven, process orientation and risk-based approach mindset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From Php360,000.00 per year
