Role description:
The Tax Reporting Specialist will be part of the Global Tax Reporting team and
prepare/reviews tax compliance (VAT/CIT) and quarterly tax provision of mainly the
Middle East region and Philippines. The Tax Reporting Specialist works closely with the
Tax Reporting Manager to optimize the global direct tax processes.
Role accountabilities:
Performs and reviews monthly/quarterly VAT validation and reconciliation (for Middle East
region only)

• Reviews WHT tax returns and forms to be submitted monthly

• Inputs the draft VAT and WHT returns in the tax authority’s system portal, if required

• Prepares/reviews quarterly provision for Current Income Tax and Deferred Taxes

• Reviews journal entries related to tax accounts

• Responsible for the preparation/review of balance sheet reconciliation reports and

ensures that relevant schedules and analysis are available monthly

• Prepares/reviews quarterly Financial Package in One Stream with complete appendices/

disclosures related to tax accounts

• Provides tax guidance to teams

• Assists on the tax audits/assessments the company receives from time to time and liaise

with General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Project Accounting teams to obtain
information

• Performs initial review of all audit-information and any ad-hoc data/schedules gathered

from the teams for tax-related audits and reconciliations

• Provides audit requirements during interim and year-end financial audit

• Prepares tax disclosures in preparation of draft statutory reports

• Assists in the preparation of draft annual tax return and liaises with third party service

provider, if needed

• Complies with company system

• Recommends areas for standardization and process improvements

• Prepares process documentation and flowcharts

• Performs such other accounting related functions that may be assigned from time to time
