We are seeking for a Testing and Standards Manager to manage and uphold the strict natural standard of Human Nature. He/she must constantly be updated on the latest standards and research of natural raw materials and of the cosmetic and personal care industry and must have an innovative mindset to constantly study and look for local and natural raw materials that Human Nature can utilize for further innovation.
Main Responsibilities:
· Review and screen incoming new and alternative raw materials to ensure that they comply to our internal natural standards
· Review new product formulations and reformulations to ensure they comply to dermal limits, physiological and environmental safety
· Conduct safety assessment of all our products
· Manage product testing processes to assess product efficacy, safety, and stability in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
· Plan and execute research projects to explore new ingredients, formulations, and technologies that align with Human Nature's commitment to sustainability and social responsibility
· Be the main resource for technical research on raw material efficacy, physiological and environmental safety
· Spearhead hypo allergenicity and clinical testing efforts
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Marketing and New Product Development Teams to ensure the successful ideation, development and launch of new products
· Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to natural personal care products and the rest of the beauty industry
· Mentor and coach team members to foster their professional growth and development.
· Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions to leverage expertise and resources for product innovation and improvement
· Prepare and present regular reports on research and testing activities, project status, and key performance indicators to senior management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in research and development, product testing, or quality control within the personal care, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical industry
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards for personal care and beauty products (e.g., Philippine FDA, ASEAN Cosmetic Directive, USFDA, EU regulations, IFRA, etc)
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge and experience in natural standards such as ECOCERT, COSMOS, Environmental Working Group, Natural Products Association is an advantage
• Passion for sustainability, social responsibility, and natural products
