Pharmacy Technicians

- Supply medications to the inpatients via regular trolley top-up system and on nurses request.
- Carry out new admission screening and medication reconciliation.
- Supply pharmaceuticals to the wards or other indenting departments for use as floor stocks.
- Perform data entry for the supply to inpatients, outpatients and discharged patients.
- Pack and dispense medications to the outpatients under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.
- Verify discrepancies in prescriptions with the prescribers where possible.
- Ensure the correct billing / charging of drugs supplied to the patients.
- Monitor inventory level and reorder the items when necessary.
- Check and receive goods delivered by suppliers, follow up on late deliveries.
- Perform stock taking in the pharmacy.
- Check for expiry date of medication and inform pharmacist of short expiry date items.

Assist in the operation of the retail pharmacy by way of price tagging, displaying and selling the products put on sale as well as taking on the role of a cashier.
Requirements
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent Min 1 Year of work experience as Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare institution.
