Administrative Assistant for AnkerHuis Full-time

We are looking for an accurate and proactive administrative professional who enjoys creating order in complex systems. With us, you will play a key role in managing financial records. You will be responsible for accurately tracking payments, following up on defaulters and optimizing our financial processes. You will also work closely with our South African accountant to ensure that our financial affairs run smoothly.
You will be a vital link within our back office team, where you will have the unique opportunity to be the only employee physically present in the clinic. This not only gives you a lot of responsibility, but also the opportunity to be directly involved in the ins and outs of our on-site organization, while working closely with your colleagues who work online from different locations.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Managing the accounting department and ensuring accurate recording of incoming payments.
- Preparing financial statements and reports.
- Following up on defaulters and working out payment arrangements where necessary.
- Implement improvements in the current accounting system for greater efficiency
- Actively liaise with the external accountant in South Africa to ensure smooth financial administration
- Assist in the financial preparation of audits and tax returns
- Collaborate with the back office team to optimize administrative processes
- Experience managing financial records and working with accounting systems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with accounting systems is an advantage
- Familiarity with payment processes and tracking defaulters
- Proactive attitude to implement improvements in administrative processes
- Team player who can work independently and takes responsibility
