Business Manager Gold & Uranium

Overview
Execute the sales department portfolio strategy by maintaining and growing existing business with emphasis on strong key account management, whilst identifying new customers and securing new business, within the Mining sector across Africa (including South Africa), focus area being Gold and Uranium Related Markets.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering preferable
Advantageous Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Business /Sales and Marketing will be advantageous
  • Commercial experience in mining and speciality chemicals in the mining landscape will be advantageous.
  • Mining Chemical product knowledge (is not essential, but chemical or metallurgical background will be an advantage
Experience
  • Minimum of five or more years sales experience (Mining industry experience is preferable).
  • Commercial experience in mining and speciality chemicals in the mining landscape will be advantageous.

Duties
Core Deliverables:
  • Marketing and selling of mining chemicals consumed in the Mining industry (Broader Africa and South Africa)
  • Sales / Business Plan implementation
  • Key Accounts Management and gaining new business across Africa
  • Extensive business travel across Africa
  • Customer relationship management
  • Fiscal management of sales territory (Volume, Sales and Gross Profit Management)
  • Managing internal and external interfaces
  • Market intelligence
  • Launching new products
Specific Outcomes:
  • Successful business plan and sales strategy for allocated portfolio
  • Successful sales volume, turnover and profit targets for allocated portfolio Customer satisfaction and retention for allocated portfolio
  • Sustainable relationships with new and existing customer base
  • Successful negotiation and management of business and contracts
  • Excellent market knowledge and customer application knowledge
  • Debtor management in conjunction with Debtor department
  • Successfully execute the strategy for geographical expansion, new products within the existing customers and gain new customers
