Diesel Mechanic - Construction Company - Rustenburg, South Africa

A leading construction firm in the Rustenburg area, is seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team and ensure the smooth operation of our fleet of diesel-powered construction equipment.
Description
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the best solutions.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals
- Senior Certificate with Physical Science
- Technical Training or Completion of a course in diesel mechanics or automotive technology from a recognized technical college or training institution
- Completion of a registered learnership program with MERSETA or equivalent, including 3-4 years of hands-on apprenticeship experience
- Trade Test from (DHET) or an accredited trade test center
- National Certificate (NQF Level 4) in Diesel Mechanics or a related field
- Artisan Certificate - certified diesel mechanic
- Proven experience working with diesel engines and construction equipment.
- Professional Registration with ECSA or IMI is advantageous
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
- Continuous Learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in diesel technology through ongoing training
