Kendrick Recruitment is thrilled to offer a PERMANENT role for an Operations Manager at a stunning 5-star lodge nestled in the heart of Hluhluwe, South Africa. If you are an experienced, dynamic leader with a passion for guest satisfaction and operational excellence, this could be your dream job!
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Delight: Meet and greet guests, ensuring every experience is exceptional! ✨
- Leadership: Take the reins in the absence of the Lodge Manager, covering all daily and weekly requirements
- Teamwork: Foster positive relationships and promote cross-department collaboration
- Hosting & Events: Host agents, media, and groups; host evenings as required by business levels
- Housekeeping & Standards: Ensure impeccable room checks and that all departments adhere to high standards
- Training & Development: Manage performance reviews, staff welfare, and training to ensure a motivated and skilled team
- Financial Oversight: Ensure budgets are adhered to, stock takes are completed, and any discrepancies are resolved
- Health & Safety: Attend monthly health and safety meetings and ensure all necessary adjustments are made
- 3+ Years of experience in a 5-star operation
- Some Managerial Training is essential
- Valid SA Driver’s Licence
- A passion for guest delight and a proactive approach to leadership Experience managing teams, hosting guests, and ensuring smooth operations
- Excellent communication skills with both guests and staff
- Lateral thinking and the ability to make decisions under pressure Leadership skills that inspire and drive the team to exceed expectations
- Integrity, professionalism, and a true passion for service excellence
