Unifi is recruiting a new member of the IT team. The ideal candidate must be conscientious and have a natural curiosity to learn how things work. A healthy spirit of adventure and sense of humour would be helpful.

• A relevant degree or diploma.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in an IT support environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning.
• Attention to detail
• A concern for order, quality and accuracy. A meticulous approach to work.
• Fast and self-learning abilities.
• Result orientation and eager to work hard and smart.
• Good communication skills.
• Willing to travel
• Passion for Africa and willingness to work in the developing world context.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities
Implementation, and maintenance of the group’s ICT infrastructure including the following (but not limited to):

• IT hardware; Includes procurement, setup, maintenance and replacement processes
• Networking and cabling - ensure consistent high standards throughout the group
• Connectivity; Data, voice, telephony - Monitoring, troubleshooting and management
• Monitoring and management of Desktop security (including antivirus and patch management)
• Give input into user security awareness training
• Desktop support services
• Be the contact for escalations for in- country IT Teams
• Ensure positive supplier relationships and management together with in-country IT teams
• Google Workspace administration and adoption
• Others: Firewalls, VPN, Queueing systems, CCTV
