Path Care Vermaak is a partnership of pathologists in private practice which assists doctors and healthcare
professionals to determine and confirm diagnoses. The company is registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions
Council of South Africa) and all our laboratories are SANAS accredited.
An opportunity exists for a Laboratory Assistant to join the Path Care family in our Microbiology Department at
our Unitas branch in Centurion. We seek an individual with a high level of ethics and integrity who displays a
proven track record of aligning with the Path Care Vermaak values.

• Registered with the HPCSA as a qualified

Laboratory Assistant in Microbiology

• Laboratory Assistant certificate in Microbiology

• Computer literate with Skylims knowledge is

advantageous.

• Relevant experience in a busy specimen

reception department

• Experience with handling challenging queries is

advantageous.

• Experience with sending and receiving samples.

• Experience with providing telephonic results is

advantageous.

• Receipt and processing of specimens.

• Specimen preparation

competence.
