Duties & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for assisting in the management of an automotive parts warehouse. The job typically includes tasks such as maintaining inventory, ordering parts, and assisting clients with their purchases.
· Managing the entire process of ordering parts, including tracking shipments, addressing issues, and ensuring timely delivery.
· Manage receiving, shipping, handling, distribution and storage of all parts.
· Responsible for managing the stock of replacement parts for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The duties include inventory control, sourcing parts, and customer service. They are also responsible for forecasting parts needs, ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels, and pricing parts to maintain profitability .
· Required to oversee special orders, collaborate with Dealerships to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs.
· Preparing regular reports, such as monthly stock reconciliations, to assess inventory status and identify areas for improvement.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and implementing effective strategies to enhance the overall efficiency of the parts department.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
· The ideal candidate for this position should have a good understanding of automotive parts and their functions, as well as excellent customer service and administrative skills.
· 5 years plus experience in a Dealership Parts Department within the automotive industry.
· In-depth knowledge of aftersales operations, service and warranty processes and parts management.
· Must have a good understanding of Dealer management systems.
· Communication and interpersonal skills on all levels including international.
· Strong time management skills.
· Able to work under pressure.
· Computer literate and proficient in MS Office Suite.
· Must have Grade 12 and a Tertiary qualification.
· Must have a valid driver’s licence.
