Job Purpose
As a Sales Data Analyst, you should be able to analyse and synthesise large amounts of data, accurately project sales trends, identify sales opportunities, and provide practical guidance to optimise sales strategies to increase market share. Collect and examine data and use the information gathered to create coherent, intelligent reports.
Job Requirements
Your main areas of responsibility will include the following:
· Compiling, analysing, and reporting sales data
· Monitoring and analysing competitive activity, customer, and market trends
· Review past sales data to determine trends in productivity
· Providing actionable insights to guide the sales and marketing teams
· Contributing to the development of sales plans and objectives
· Monitoring and evaluating sales performance.
· Forecasting demand, revenue, and expenses.
· Determining sales potential and making recommendations
· Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources
· Evaluate third-party data to determine best practices for company success
· Collaborate with team members and members of other departments
Job Profile
Education:
· Degree in business Administration, Finance, or Marketing or equivalent
Required experience:
· Experience in retail
· 5+ years in research and data analysis skills
· Projection and forecasting skills
Technical Skills and Competencies:
· Proficient in Microsoft office with advanced Excel
· Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
· Able to prioritise and self-manage deliverables
· Advanced problem-solving and analysis skills
· Superior oral and written communication skills
· High level of organization and detail-orientation
· Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
· Good attitude toward teamwork as well as the ability to work independently
