Scrum Master

Go Canvas is revolutionizing how work gets done by modernizing small businesses through powerful cloud-based customizable apps and mobile experiences. We are seeking a Scrum Master to help our engineering scrum teams improve their agile practices as we are scaling through exciting growth. As a product-forward company, we believe the Scrum Master role is essential to making sure our engineering team is focused on building an amazing product and embracing continuous improvement.
As a key member of our Agile team, you will be leveraging the appropriate Agile methodologies to build high performance teams, foster continuous improvement and help ensure goals are being met and an amazing product is being delivered. You will be working with talented scrum teams to facilitate sprint ceremonies with a focus on continuous improvement to ensure the success of the teams.
You'll receiving training to become familiar with our culture, systems, mobile app platform, and strategy. You'll gain tremendous experience in scaling a rapidly growing Saa S company. Your Most Important Initiatives
- Continued focus on Agile methodologies within engineering teams
- Facilitate stand-ups, retrospectives and other activities for up to 2 scrum teams
- Work closely with product and engineering teams on user story refinement
- Provide input to sprint commitment and release planning - using team capacity and team velocity
- Continuous improvement
- Communicate team progress and dependencies with team leads
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration thru Scrum of Scrums, R&D demos
- Manage team metrics
- Be an advocate for Agile and the Scrum methodology
- A passion for amazing products and great engineering teams
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) with 2-3 years experience as a Scrum Master
- Strong self-organization and self-management skills
- Experience implementing scrum for various sized teams
- Experience using Agile backlog management tools
- Experience with distributed teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and creativity skills, able to maintain composure in a chaotic environment and promote a sensible and logical approach to issues
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong self-organization and self-management skills
- Consistent delivery of product development by the engineering team
- Coordination with product and engineering teams on best practices
- Consistent and understandable releases
- Evaluation of methodologies and frameworks that may fit the team for continued improvement of team processes
- Collaboration with other Scrum Masters for continuous improvement in being Agile
