Job Title: Swim Instructor

Position Type: Part-time/Full-time

Salary: R230 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching swimming and have experience working with students of all ages and skill levels. The Swim Instructor will be responsible for providing individual and group swimming lessons, creating lesson plans, and ensuring the safety of all participants in the pool.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Create and implement lesson plans that focus on the development of swim skills and water safety
• Evaluate students' progress and provide feedback to help them improve
• Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and monitoring behavior in and around the pool
• Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding program updates, progress, and scheduling
• Maintain a clean and organized teaching area and equipment
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Qualifications:

• Current certification in Lifeguarding/CPR/First Aid (preferred but not required)
• Previous experience as a Swim Instructor or Lifeguard
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of swim strokes and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well with students of all ages and skill levels
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to swim for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
