We are currently looking for a Senior Actuary for our Terms of Trade Team reporting to the Head of Experience Analysis and Terms of Trade in the Life Department.

Your Role:
-
Update and maintains all Terms of Trade for MRo A - Work with the regional office to determine Terms of Trade
- Liaise with retail and group pricing teams and valuations team on assumption setting
- Support overall Life Business strategy & risk management
- Maintain the highest standard of technical competence & ensuring global and local guidelines are followed
- Partner with business to provide valuable insight to influence strategy and long-term decision making
- Train and upskill junior team members on Terms of Trade setting
Your profile:
-
FASSA/equivalent actuarial qualification or nearly qualified Actuary - 5+ years’ experience deriving terms of trade and/or doing experience studies
- Sound understanding of South African life insurance products and market dynamics
- Analytical and statistical skills
- Excellent programming skills in actuarial/statistical programming languages
- VBA/Excel
- SQL Server
- R/Python or any relevant software programme
