For our office/site in Yeosu we are looking for a

SHE Engineer (F/M)

A. Purpose/Role of the job: Lead the implementation of SHE programs to achieve incident-free operations by ensuring compliance with Korean SHE regulations and adherence to INEOS SHE guidelines.
B. Environment/Context/Complexity of the job
1. Internal factors
1) Facilitate the analysis and application of internal SHE regulations.
2) Contribute to enhancing the company's SHE culture.
2. External factors
1) Monitor Korean SHE laws and regulations to ensure timely compliance.
2) Manage the interpretation and application of Korean laws to maintain compliance.
C. Responsibilities/Accountabilities of the job:
1. Incident free operations & compliance with local law & regulations.
1) PSM Program Implementation:
(1) Develop and execute a PSM implementation plan & undergo PSM audits.
(2) Prepare and follow up on corrective action plans.
2) Safety Training at INSTY YEO:
(1) Plan and conduct safety training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
3) Legal Compliance:
(1) Ensure compliance with legal regulations through review and auditing.
(2) Adhere to site licenses and permits.
4) Regulation Review:
(1) Update and apply revised or new regulations related to SHE.
(2) Communicate changes and share procedures with employees.
5) External SHE Audits and Inspection:
(1) Coordinate audits from government agencies and relevant authorities.
(2) Confirm inspections such as Pressure Vessel, Overhead Crane, Injection Molding Machine/Exhaust Fan and others.
2. Incident-Free Operations, Adherence to INEOS Styrolution SHE Guidelines
1) Safety Culture Development:
(1) Promote a strong safety culture.
(2) Implement a SHE improvement plan and align with SHE KPIs and targets.
2) Incident Reporting and Investigation: Ensure all incidents are reported and investigated.
3) SHE Procedure review: Align SHE procedures with IGGSs, SGGNs and regulations.
4) 20 Principles and Life Saving Rules: Ensure compliance with the 20 Principles and Life Saving Rules in all activities.
5) Safety Compliance and Action Tracking: Ensure safety compliance and track SHE action items through procedures, orientation, audits, and Gensuite program.
6) SHE Committee Meetings: Coordinate leadership committee and safety committee meetings.
7) Process Hazards Assessment (PHA): Revalidate PHA and participate in HAZOPs.
8) Job Safety Assessment and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR):Encourage Job Safety Assessment and execute PSSR with related teams and tracking action items.
9) Emergency Response Drills: Conduct ERT drills and firefighting drills and execute emergency evacuation training.
10) Natural Disaster Prevention: Review preparedness for natural disaster.

D. Required profile:
1. Level of education & Knowledge:
1) Bachelor's Degree.
2) Ability to speak and write in English for frequent communication with regional and global teams.
3) Familiarity with Korean laws and regulations relevant to Hazardous Materials Safety Control, Occupational Safety and Health, PSM (Process Safety Management), PHA (Process Hazard Analysis).
2. Experience in general:
1) More than 5 years of experience in Process Safety.
2) Must be trained or have the necessary training as a Safety Manager as stipulated under KOSHA.
3. Technical skills:
1) Experience leading PHA (HAZOP).
2) SHE-related certification or license (Industrial Safety Engineer).

2) Ability to walk up to 8 hours a day.
3) Must be able to lift up to 25 kg.
4) Ability to work in confined spaces.
5) Must be able to balance on one leg.
6) Must not feel dizzy at heights.
