What you will do:

• Work in partnership with global and regional business stakeholders to support the execution of the Global Trade strategy for Korea , serving as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all import and export trade related matters in Korea / Serve as the regional focal point to support key cross-functional global initiatives and new strategy deployments.
• Support regional Compliance and duty management programs including (but not limited to) import/export operations, import and export classification, relevant Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Valuation, and other programs / Apply for various Government permits where needed to facilitate seamless exports and imports.
• Train regional business partners on relevant trade related topics and act as the champion for special duty savings programs. / Support the Korea businesses on Customs audits and/or any other relevant government agency inquiries / Manage activities of regional customs brokers to ensure timely border clearance.
• Analyze operational and compliance metrics and implement improvements where required.
• Conduct business reviews with regional stakeholders on an ongoing basis to drive continuous improvement.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Ability to communicate (verbal, written) effectively in English across multiple levels
• 7 years of import/export operations and trade compliance experience specific to Korea
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment. Solid communication and analytical skills, including experience with communicating with others from different counties and cultures
• Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems and supports root-cause analysis. Ability to work within teams and independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize and be adaptable.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• This is a temporary employment role with a duration of 1 year and 6 months.
• Ability to travel abroad upon business needs
• If foreign national, legal work permit is required to pursue employment contract by Korean immigration law

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Project Management
• Certified Customs Attorney
