We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows Server System Administrator to join our organization in a Department of Defense (Do D) environment. As a Windows Server System Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and security of Windows server systems in the client's Remote Data Center (RDC). This includes patching, implementing security controls such as HBSS (Host-Based Security System), ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution), and e MASS (Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Windows server administration, VMware solution, and be familiar with Do D security requirements and certifications.

This position will be based at Camp Humphrey’s Army Garrison, South Korea.

Key Responsibilities:

• Windows Server Administration: Administer, configure, and maintain Windows server systems in a Do D environment. Install, upgrade, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems, services, and applications.
• Server back-ups: Manage and maintain system back-ups, disaster recovery and high availability solutions. This includes installation, configuration, upgrading, patching, and restoring. Ability to create robust automated back-up schedule to ensure timely back-up of all data.
• Patch Management: Develop and execute patch management strategies to ensure the security and compliance of Windows server systems. Deploy patches and updates in accordance with Do D guidelines and policies.
• Host-Based Security System (HBSS): Implement and manage the HBSS platform to protect and monitor Windows server systems. Configure policies, manage endpoints, and conduct regular audits to ensure system compliance and security.
• Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS): Utilize ACAS tools to conduct vulnerability assessments, identify system vulnerabilities, and provide remediation recommendations. Perform system scans, interpret results, and implement necessary security controls.
• Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (e MASS): Manage e MASS, the Do D's enterprise-level software application for assessing, authorizing, and managing IT systems. Complete required documentation and maintain compliance with Do D Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
• Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Respond to security incidents, troubleshoot system issues, and implement corrective actions as required. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and ensure system uptime.
• Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with Do D security policies, guidelines, and directives, including Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) requirements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies. Generate and submit required reports and documentation to comply with Do D regulations and certifications.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2+ years of experience as a Windows Server System Administrator in a Do D or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2016/2019) and associated technologies.
• Experience in patch management processes, including the deployment of security patches and updates.
• Proficiency with Host-Based Security System (HBSS) and its components, including Mc Afee e PO, Virus Scan, and Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS).
• Knowledge of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tools, such as Tenable Nessus and Security Center.
• Experience with Do D Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (e MASS).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and task scripting a plus.
• Proficiency with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to Windows server systems.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor system performance, security logs, and event management systems to proactively identify potential security issues or operational anomalies. Generate reports and provide metrics related to system health, security, and compliance.
• Excellent understanding of network protocols, Active Directory, Group Policy, and system security principles.
• Professional OEM certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are highly desirable.
• Do D 8570.01-M Baseline Certifications for IAT Level III (CISSP, CASP+)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Do D security clearance, such as Secret or Top Secret, as required by the position.
