• Define the Platform Engineering (PE) vision and strategy
• Work with your teams and stakeholders to create the PE roadmap and commit to its delivery
• Add value to our developers’ lives by growing the Platform’s features
• Engage with your peers in other engineering units under the CTO to promote adoption of the new features in the common platform
• Provide the tools that increase Stuart’s reliability, availability and scalability
• Build on the existing Fin Ops strategy to continue to deliver cloud efficiencies
• Manage remote teams in European and near-shore locations
• Create a healthy and cooperative environment within your teams
• Execute performance reviews and create growth opportunities for your people
• Attend the Barcelona office (prime central location) 2/3 days a week
• Be part of the Engineering Leadership Team driving our engineering function

What do we need from you? \u D83D\u DE0E

• A strong technical background in cloud computing (we use AWS) & SRE
• Experience leading Platform Engineering, “Dev Ops” or SRE teams
• Good knowledge and experience with software development
• Experience with directly managing technical Engineering Managers
• Capacity to run a department with several teams, composed of both hybrid and remote team members
• A product mindset to build an internal developer platform
• Ideally, some solid knowledge of Data Platform Engineering
• Comfortable presenting to Ex Co and interacting with other senior leaders
• Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language
