Lead Platform Software Engineer

About the role

In this position, you’re an essential part of a small team, establishing developer experience with a focus on the developer persona. You lead the development and technical roadmap, ensuring that we build something that is usable and relevant for Sandvik’s diverse technical landscape. To understand the bigger needs, verify our solutions and discover new opportunities, you collaborate with architects, developers, product managers and leaders in all business areas across Sandvik to verify our solutions and discover new opportunities.

What you do:

Architect, design and develop our developer experience with focus on user needs.
Hands on development of features and products.
Continuously evaluate and improve our tools and processes to enhance developer productivity and satisfaction.
Be an integral part of building the team.

The location for this position is at our site Gasverket in Stockholm and we offer you a hybrid work solution.

What you know and need – this is important

Extensive experience in building developer platforms in an enterprise using Git Hub suite and backstage.
Extensive experience with React, Python, Bicep Infrastructure as a code.
Experience in providing technical leadership across one or more teams.
Experience working with cloud native technologies, preferably Azure and Azure technologies with modern Dev Sec Ops practices.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Git Hub Actions.
Common understanding of multiple domains within IT such as Security, Networking and Identities.
Extensive knowledge in English, verbally and in writing.
