We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our client, a prestigious Swiss private bank. This role involves conducting comprehensive due diligence on clients, advising on AML/CTF matters, and participating in compliance-related projects. As part of the Compliance team, you will play a crucial role in upholding regulatory standards and protecting the firm’s reputation.
Location: Switzerland
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Swiss AML regulations, maintaining the highest standards of regulatory adherence.
  • Conduct global exposure assessments of both new and existing clients to identify and mitigate financial crime risks.
  • Oversee account opening processes and manage KYC periodic reviews according to regulatory and internal standards.
  • Serve as an advisor to client advisors on AML/CTF compliance matters, providing guidance and insight.
  • Perform in-depth risk assessments, thematic reviews, and focused analyses on specific areas as needed.
  • Take an active role in various compliance initiatives, including the implementation of new policies and procedures.
Your Profile:
  • Educational Background: Higher education in law, economics, or equivalent qualifications, such as a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Compliance Management.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience within a Financial Crime Compliance Department of a Swiss bank, with expertise in complex account openings, KYC periodic reviews, and a strong understanding of AML/CDB regulatory requirements.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with a thorough, flexible, and independent approach to work.
  • Communication and Team Skills: Effective communicator and team player with a proactive, ownership-driven attitude.
  • Solution-Oriented: Pragmatic and solution-focused with the ability to work closely with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Decision-Making and Organizational Skills: Able to perform under pressure, prioritize effectively, and make clear, informed decisions.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both German and English.
