The Center for Experimental Neurology (ZEN) is a unique translational research center in the Department of Neurology at the Inselspital University Hospital Bern, Switzerland. The ZEN fosters strong collaborations between clinical and experimental laboratories with long-standing expertise in sleep, epilepsy and stroke.

To further strengthen our group, we are seeking for a motivated Ph D candidate to integrate our translational research program. The research project aims at identifying novel cellular and EEG biomarkers of sleep and sleep perturbations in patients with insomnia. Our long-term goal is to provide new features to accelerate drug development through AI-based predictive algorithms.
